Walmart, Newegg ($ 185)
This motherboard is our choice as a starting point if you want to boot an Intel-based midrange PC. It supports LGA 1200 socket type, DDR4 RAM, and it even comes with built-in Wi-Fi, saving you an extra card on your desktop.
Another Wi-Fi enabled motherboard, this ASUS TUF Gaming model also supports the LGA 1200 socket which supports Intel 10th and 11th generation processors.

Although this processor is slightly less powerful than the i7 above, it is part of the 11th generation of Intel processors, Rocket Lake. It still uses the LGA 1200 socket, so you can put it on the same motherboard as any of the other Intel processors we’ve featured.
For a little more power, this Core i9 processor is part of Intel’s 11th generation, but remains compatible with the LGA 1200 socket. Like the other processor above, it does not include a heat sink in the packaging, but the discount you get on that processor should help cover that.
