Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children in Abu Dhabi will host a series of events as part of its “Join the Movement” campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection and screening.

The hospital will be offering free mammograms throughout this month.

Recent global studies have revealed that physical activity can help reduce the risk of breast cancer in women. The hospital will collaborate with leading fitness establishments in Abu Dhabi to launch a series of free programs suitable for every type of health regimen and level of exercise.

The “pink” events begin on Wednesday with padel sports at the Let’s Padel Academy in Mussafah.

On Saturdays, individuals can partake in a high intensity workout at Firefit, Paragon Bay Mall, Marina Square on Al Reem Island.

On October 22, ADCB Zayed Sports City Pink Run will be held in partnership with the hospital. There is an entry fee of 160 Dh and registration can be done online.

On October 23, pilates and yoga sessions will take place at Bodytree Studio, and the following day, a spin class will take place at Crank on Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Park.

All events require attendees to have green status on the Al Hosn app.
