Andy Cannon steps up physical training ahead of Hull City’s pre-season return
Hull City star Andy Cannon has accelerated his return to full fitness ahead of his return to the Tigers for the start of pre-season. The 26-year-old has struggled with lengthy injuries over the past few years and was on loan with National League side Stockport County.
Featuring nine times for the Hatters as they marked their return to the EFL, the former Portsmouth man featured in his traditional midfield role and had seen his playing time dry up at the MKM Stadium. Finding the net once against Southend United during his time at Cheshire, Cannon is now in line to return to Hull this summer.
With boss Shota Arveladze failing to select Cannon once after his appointment in January this year, there has also been much talk about the players’ imminent future here in East Yorkshire. The midfielder still has one year left on his remaining contract at the club.

Ins and outs are expected this summer, with Cannon’s future somewhat uncertain at present with a potential return to the club where he spent some of his teenage years still not out of the question.
Pictured on his Instagram story more recently, the former Rochdale man could be seen preparing for the new season working away from the club. Having not featured for the club since the 2-0 home win over Birmingham City last year, it remains to be seen whether the player will now be part of Arveladze’s plans moving forward.
