Free fitness activities at The Palm Beaches
Fitness activities are a great benefit to all of us and a wonderful way to improve our emotional and physical health. If you’re looking for ways to improve your wellness here in Palm Beach County, check out our unique fitness experiences and activities. Whether you want to slow down, reconnect with nature, or stay in shape while on vacation, this list includes a variety of FREE activities for you to choose from!
Free yoga classes
Find your center at The Palm Beaches! Throughout Palm Beach County, there are several yoga classes led by certified instructors that you can attend for free.
Join a yoga class in the calming setting of Lake Worth Lagoon at Manatee Lagoon. Classes are held outdoors on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., or Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. All courses are free but require prior registration. For more information, click here.

Every Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m., Leslie Glickman teaches an outdoor yoga class for all levels at Sanborn Square, Boca Raton. Leslie runs yogic journeya yoga studio located at 2240 NW 19th Street, Suite 604 in Boca Raton.
If you’re in West Palm Beach, check out the rooftop yoga class at Treehouse. The course starts at 10 a.m. and takes place on the 13e floor of Canopy by Hilton in downtown West Palm Beach. Although not free, this course is only $5!
Or, you can start your Sunday morning with a Sunrise Beach yoga class in Delray Beach. Held in front of the Opal Grand Oceanfront Resort, this completely free yoga class aims to bring together a group of like-minded people who love yoga, the beach and the sunrise! Hosted by Pedro, this hatha-vinyasa style yoga class starts at 6:30am every Sunday morning. Alternatively, the Grandview Public Market in West Palm Beach also offers a free district yoga class every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The course is open to all levels and is led by Maki Criscaut.
No prior yoga experience is required for any of the classes listed above. Don’t forget to bring your own yoga mat and a bottle of water. Some courses are organized by donation.
Free running clubs
How about a race? From parks to beaches to trails, The Palm Beaches offers several places where you can go for a run (or a walk). One of our favorites is Lake Trail, a beautiful trail located on Palm Beach Island along Lake Worth Lagoon.
If you prefer to train with other runners, head to the Run Club led by lululemon ambassador Alex Celis on the first Wednesday of each month. Meet in front of lululemon at 5:45 p.m. to mingle, stretch, and warm up before embarking on a 2-mile loop around downtown West Palm Beach, finishing on the lawn to cool off. The next dates are November 2n/a and December 7e. You can find more information here.
And if you’re a local, you can join the Fun Runners group, a group of fun runners in the Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter area. They meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Loggerhead Park (14200 US-1, Juno Beach, FL 33408). After showing up for a race, you can join their Facebook group where you can look for more details and updates.
Free croquet lessons
The National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach, the world’s largest dedicated croquet facility, offers free golf croquet lessons every Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
This is a great introduction to croquet for all beginners, young and old. You will learn strategy, how to hit the ball, score wickets and plot your next move. You can attend up to two free Golf Croquet lessons. One must reserve. Call 561-478-2300.
Residing on 10 beautiful acres, the Charles P. Steuber National Croquet Center is the largest and finest dedicated croquet center in the world. It is located minutes from Palm Beach International Airport and a 3-minute drive from the Palm Beach Zoo.
Free Underwater Adventure
Do you like snorkeling? If you already have the equipment, just head to one of our beautiful beaches for an underwater adventure at no cost. Our clear waters are home to one of the most diverse marine ecosystems in the country, thanks to our proximity to the Gulf Stream, closer than any other point in Florida, to be exact. When it comes to snorkeling, one of the most popular spots is Phil Foster Park in Riviera Beach. Located below the Blue Heron Bridge on a crystal-clear section of Lake Worth Lagoon, this 800-foot man-made reef is home to an incredible variety of marine life, from sea turtles to manatees to tropical fish, all just yards from shore. .
